I hope things can take me there again to achieve my unfinished business for them all: Jude Nworuh

Soccergramindia.com recently had a chat with the former Chennaiyin FC’s Nigerian star Jude Nworuh who was in the squad, which led Chennaiyin FC to their 2nd ISL title win in 2017-18 season. As the former F.C Midtjylland striker, he played almost that season with injuries and made 11 appearances for the team. Nworuh started his career playing for F.C Ebedei in Lagos, Nigeria, which was the youth team of former Inter Milan star Obafemi Martins.

When asked about pursuing a career as a Pro-Footballer and inspiration, he said: “Yes I have always loved and wanted to be a Pro-Footballer, but I never knew that it will come this big for me as a player I am today. As a young footballer in Nigeria, I really enjoyed watching Obafemi Martins back when he was playing for Inter Milan.”
He also stated that being a good talent in F.C Ebedei and playing for Danish top division side F.C Midtjylland in Europe was a very big step in his life.
Now when talked about ISL and Chennaiyin F.C he had some really good memories: “It was a very good experience and I still remember playing in ISL for the first time and winning it against a strong team like Bengaluru F.C in the final, ‘that was amazing. I can’t forget those moments.” I knew that Chennayin have always wanted me before I made my final decision to play there. I had a good pre-season in Thailand. But I got injured almost that year, I was sad and disappointed because I wanted everyone to see how good I am. “Thanks to the Chennaiyin F.C fans, they were truly great fans who have always shown me, love, on and off the pitch and they always believed in me until today. I hope things can take me there again to achieve my unfinished business for them all.”
When asked about John Gregory: “For me, he is a great coach, who always wanted more from his players including me. We knew each other from Israel and he knew my quality as a player as well. Of course, due to my injury, things never went well as we both wanted (at Chennaiyin F.C). But we still have contact and are in good touch. After all, he is a great champion and will always be remembered by Chennayin Family for many years.”
He also added he was impressed with the young Indian players, by expressing his views that with time and the league, Indians can become even harder for opponents.
